5.1.2 Enfants vulnérables Concernant les enfants vulnérables, ce travail de coopération solide avec les parents s’inscrit dans la suite logique des soins centrés sur la famille (Family centered care) développés dans les services de néonatologie, maintenant quasi généralisés, et dont les bases ont découlé des soins de développement. Les parents dont les enfants ont été pris en charge dans les services où les soins de développement sont bien implantés ont en général été sensibilisés à ce type d’approche. Au fil des semaines d’hospitalisation, ils ont souvent tissé un lien de confiance solide avec l’équipe qui a pris en charge leur nouveau-né, et ce lien peut être l’ancrage précieux de la suite de la prise en charge. Ainsi, les professionnels hospitaliers en charge de ces enfants vulnérables dans leurs premiers moments se doivent d’organiser au mieux le suivi ultérieur des enfants avant la sortie du service, d’expliquer le parcours de soins prévu, son intérêt, sa finalité aux parents de la façon la plus claire possible, pour faciliter la prise en charge de l’enfant lorsqu’il sera sorti, et pour que les parents puissent s’organiser pour suivre au mieux les soins proposés.
